The Rotaract Cluj-Napoca club was founded in December 1994 by 22 members, under the patronage of Rotary Cluj-Napoca, the first Rotary club established in Romania. Our club was chartered on May 17, 1995, by the Governor of District 1660 at that time, Jacques Verrier.
Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours.
All our actions are based on the friendship that binds us. The uniqueness of our organization is based on this fundamental value that makes us work together both for Rotaract projects and in the professional or personal area;
Rotaract members understand that change requires involvement. That is why Rotaract members are people who understand that it is necessary to take action, together; involvement is a fundamental value that allows each member of our community to stand out in the world as an agent of positive change;
Through the Rotaract experience we continuously contribute to both our personal and professional development, as well as to the development of our communities to which the actions we undertake are addressed;
In Rotaract, we are never alone. Without Rotary we could not exist, and without Interact we could not be sustainable in the long term. Thus, the attitude that exists within the district, clubs and at the level of relations between members, must extend to the level of the 3 generations of the Rotary family;
Rotaract’s greatest strength lies in the Rotaract network. We are constantly working on the improvement and development of our communities, planting the seeds of a sustainable mentality, with a long-term orientation, which will generate a positive change.
Unity is the value that brings together all the other attributes of another organization. By being united, every challenge finds a solution and together we can generate a much greater impact.
All activities we undertake are voluntary. Every minute invested in the Rotaract experience is one offered voluntarily by each member’s free time;
